PHOTO DIARY : SF PRIDE 2015

6/30/2015

Last Friday, same-sex marriage was legalized in every state of the U.S. Over the weekend, San Francisco celebrated. Parades and rallies always make me emotional, and this one was no exception.

If you've never been to Pride - let me put it in perspective: In the couple hours I spent on Market Street, I saw a man strip butt naked, inhaled way too many questionable fumes, and got caught in a stampede. The crowds got impossible to navigate, but we were finally able to stop by Civic Center - because you can't leave Pride without a picture with the rainbow flags. Despite the ridiculous -at times pornographic- traditions, there's something about people coming together to celebrate love and equality that ultimately made the event all the more meaningful.
